Mother Teresa of Calcutta.

Mother Teresa of Calcutta is one of the most recognize saints all around the word. Being a Catholic missionary made her realize that the best she could do was todedicate her whole life to care about others, specifically the poorest ones. That made her one of the most admired leaders from history.

This spiritual leader was born in Üsküb, Vilayet of Kosovo,OttomanEmpire, now a day Skopje, Macedonia, on August from 1910. Her childhood was affected because of her father’s dead, when she was only eight years old. But this event didn’t hit her so strong becauseshe was really related with the Catholic Church, so she knew she was going to have always the support of god. At the age of twelve, she felt deeply “god’s call”, that meant she wanted to be nun tospread the love of Christ. In 1929, all ready belonging to the “Sisters of Loreto”, she arrived to India, where she started his first vows as a nun.

From 1931, Mother Teresa was a teacher in “Mary’s High School “ in Calcutta, but the poverty outside the school doors didn’t leave her inpeace, so she decided to do something with it. She devoted herself for working among the poorest in the slums of the city. Among her important acts we can mention: an open-air school for slum childrenand the most well known; in 1950 she started her own order “The Missionaries of Charity”. The most important mission of this order was to protect, love and care from those who nobody cared for them....
