INTRODUCTION

The MILES is a student movement that brings together independent groups around the country. The MILES, together with all stakeholders of the university community promoted the building of an inclusive education project, massive, popular and a Latin American perspective. The MILES is a space where the force comes together to articulate and achieve the conquest of our strategicgoals as students and as people.
The MILES, a movement that aims to become a political tool of the students union and organizer of the student movement, in order that students be part of history and we will live up to our American times require.

They stem from the need to build a new educational project towards a new society. There for, it is imperative that it is composed of all the sectorsinvolved in the educational community, beyond the fact that each sector has its specific union space. STUDENTS SAY WHEN do like the word contains and expresses all that are part of that community, but at the same time without losing sight of the dynamic role that meet the students in the construction of a strategic political and institutional in University and articulated in a transformationprocess at the national and Latin America.

OBJECTIVES

GENERAL OBJECTIVE

Value through reading and analysis of documents, other independent Latin American Student Movement. To understand the role of students towards the subject of education and the contributions that they can generate to society and the future of themselves.

SPECIFIC OBJECTIVE

Researching and structuring an adequate jobin which contribution to knowledge through the analysis of documents, others. Independent Latin American Student  Movement, well developed information obtained to help understand the role that  students face their future education.












JUSTIFICATION

Youth in social status and type of representation. The identity of young people might say, is built into the veryculture in this space that frames of reference are common with the other. The MILES integrates and articulates to students, graduates, teachers and teachers who understand that began ringing bells when Latin America. Is shaped as a movement because it represents a tool to articulate the experiences based on certain ethical and philosophical ideas, a place where it flows towards the achievement ofcertain programmatic objectives.

The MILES, a movement that aims to become a political tool of the students union and organizer of the student movement, in order that students be part of history and we will live up to our American times require.

Because of this I chose this topic because it shows the way how young people can become part of great change, organizing and forming part of agroup which is part of history, integrating students, graduates, teachers and nonteaching understand that education needs to change to become homeland.


















CHAPTER I

1.1 MILES BIRTH

The MILES (Independent Latin American Student Movement) is a political union that emerged from the historic university students struggles against neoliberal policies atpublic universities in Argentina, said in an attempt to commodification of knowledge, privatization of state public higher education and elitism of the universities. In these struggles waged by anti-neoliberal students together and in coordination with other social sectors in fight against the implementation of transnational financial capital plan, the alternative was outlined, drawing the wayforward to defeat the neoliberal model and power Latin America a different dream.
