MODERNISM AS CONCEPT:
I have been always intrigued by the use given to the term “Modern” this is a word quite complex, since it has been used to qualify different times in history when there werehistorical facts and phenomena that produced dramatic changes in the way of thinking, living and building as well as to refer to objects or things within a new context, even to point to thephenomenology
the contemporary world, has also been linked to the categorization of a style or fashion.
You could say that something is modern because besides being new, as was stated at the beginning,something we are not accustomed to seeing and is presented in a novel in context.
General historians, art and architecture seen in a long line of
time periods have been presented "modern", for exampleGreece and Rome are modern, well
as the Renaissance, Baroque, eighteenth-century thought and of course the first half
twentieth century, its modern character is that they are times of change andevolution at the level
political, social, economic and cultural, and constitute a radical shift of thought operant.In
that sense the two conditions being modern means a change of attitude towards theinstitutions
put in place and a look at the conditions of the context. Modern societies
were faced with the bodies set up with new and convincing arguments
entire society of the new needs and requiringnew responses.
Modernity must be recognized as a phenomenon with many proprietary content, ie
is not an idea of globalization, a phenomenon that particularized for each of the
