On April 23, the news in Mexico has announced the same virus, described in California, had been found in samples from patients in Mexico, processed in thelaboratories of Winnipeg in Canada and the CDC in Atlanta, USA. In addition, there had been at least 20 deaths in patients treated in hospitals with clinical Mexicans viral pneumonia. Based on thisinformation, it was decided the immediate closure of public and private schools at all educational levels, from kindergarten to university, and implemented various measures to promote social isolation.During the following days, they reported the presence of cases in other states of the country, like Oaxaca, San Luis Potosi and Mexico State. Then it was thought that the first case of the new diseasewas that of a woman who was admitted and died at a hospital in the city of Oaxaca on April 13. However, two days later, the news published that a child resident of the community of La Gloria, in themunicipality of Perote, Veracruz, was the first case of the new influenza, who fell ill during the first week of April and laboratory test was positive.
