5) Chapter 5- Karen Winter
They walked to the Chilton hotel then a young woman sat at the reception desk, she look up and smiled, she said good afternoon, can I help you? James explained about his accident and about his loss of memory but nothing about the diamonds, the woman said that she saw him at 12:30 and then he met with awoman, the woman was Karen Winter, James said that she can tell him Karen Winter´s address because maybe Karen Winter could help him to answer the question.
Then he tried to remember her but the description was bad then the receptionist said that she took a taxi to the airport maybe she went to Holland. Then they return to London there hi thought about the attackers maybe they had thrown him out ofthe train
6) Chapter 6- an angry customer
Then they arrived to Birmingham, there they went back to his office and then they went to Susan’s flat, then they decided to went to drink something, after this they returned to the office and he found a piece of paper that said Harvey Chapman seven o’clock but the time was 9:15 then he went to saw Chapman, Chapman was a strong man he was angry with himthen James put the designs on the table, Chapman looked the design of the brooch and he changed some things on this, then Chapman doesn’t knew about the ring but he said that he like that he made it for him.
7) Chapter 7- no answer
Chapman and he met in a few days, then he went to his office and Susan handed him a couple of pieces of paper, one was a leaflet that said Karen Winter de wolfdiamonds Amsterdam 674863
The other paper was an old envelope. He tried to phoning Karen but was no answer. Then he started work in Chapman jewellery but he needs some money and he would have a loan from the bank for more diamonds.
Then he saw a lot of orders from shops most of the orders were for repairs to old jewellery then he phoned Karen but still no answer, then he phoned a friend AlbertWilson he was a jeweler too he asked him about Karen but he doesn’t know about she
8) Chapter 8- I must go To Holland
James called de wolf diamonds but this doesn’t exist then he called Karen suddenly a woman answered the phone but the woman said that the number was wrong.
James said that he must go to Holland not only to know Karen; the other reason was that he needs some quality diamonds forChapman. Then they took a taxi to the airport
9) Chapter 9- the search for Mrs. van Mander
They arrived to Amsterdam then they went to the hotel, next to the hotel was a restaurant and there they ordered some drinks, suddenly Susan said that two men are watching them, one of them was a men with a lot of tattoos, the other was a man with dark hair, then they went to the hotel.
Then they went to theMrs. van Mander but she was in hospital, than a woman came out, the woman said about the Mrs. van Mander’s daughter and then the woman wrote the name and address of the hospital on a piece of paper and gave it to them.
10) Chapter 10- the attack by the canal.
They went to the hospital; there a nurse said that Mrs. van Mander had a serious stroke, that she can’t speak at all and that they can’task her any questions then they left the hospital and they went to a park, there they talked about Karen. After this they were eating in front of Diamonds Company, after minutes they finished eating and they saw the two men who had followed them last night. Then the men attack them and Susan fights them and then the men turned and ran away. Susan and James were not hurt.
11) Chapter 11-we findKaren Winter
James had a conversation with Mr. de wit o BKV diamonds James said about the diamonds that were stolen by his delivery drivers and Susan explain about the attack in the canal and then Mr. de wit said that no one diamond was stolen. Then a woman ran quickly out of the building and James asked to Mr. de wit who’s that woman? He said that she is Karen Winter.
