LESSON: “Properties for Sale”LESSON TIME: 50 minutes.OBJECTIVE1: By reading the text “classifieds”, students will be able to analyze the parts of the house and identify the structure there is/thereare.OBJECTIVE 2: Giving the opportunity to work in groups, students will be able to create their own classified using the structure there is/there are, mentioning at least three parts of the house. |GRAMMAR: there is/ there are, simple present.STRATEGIES: Social (work group), Cognitive (analyze expressions), Metacognitive (regulate time).MATERIAL: Stickers for the name, cardboards, pictures of thehouses, markers and candies. SKILLS: reading, writing, listening and speaking.VOCABULARY: living room, dining room, TV room, bedroom, bathroom, kitchen, study, swimming pool, garage, backyard. |PRESENTATION | PRACTICE | PRODUCTION |
Warm-up: PICTIONARY (10 MINUTES). * The teacher will ask students to divide the class in two big teams. * Then the teacher will give to each team 5 smallpapers which contains the vocabulary (parts of the house). * Finally one member of each team will pass to the board and draw one by one the parts of the house that belongs them in order for the restof the team guess the drawing; they have to say it in English. * The teacher will write each guessing word in the board. * Each team has just 3 minutes for guessing. | READING CLASSIFIED ADS (15MINUTES) * The teacher will ask students to make small groups for working. * Then the teacher will give to the students an example of a classified ad which is about a property for sale. *Students will infer on what the text is about watching the pictures and the tittle. * Then students will read the text and the teacher will help them to identify the parts of the house and the structuresthere is/there are. * After students read the text the teacher will ask some reading comprehension questions. | DESCRIBING HOUSES (25 MINUTES). * The teacher will give to each team a picture of...
