Research Question/Topic: How does a student’s lifestyle affect academic performace?
Two testable hypotheses:
Hypothesis 1: Students who have an effective communication with roommates tend to have higher GPAs
Hypothesis 2: Living with a roommate of a different race can decrease a student’s GPA
Manner of Administration: Our group went about distributing the survey invarious ways. The manner of distribution was administered via web surveys and in person. Our survey was a mostly structured questionnaire and the only cost was investing our time. The only cost was the investment of time. The sampling procedure we used was stratified random sampling. We just approached particular individuals while we observed in our setting. We were able to get 88 completedsurveys.

According to this relationship, female students (68.3%) tend to higher cumulative GPAs or perform at an above average level(3.0-3.9) than male students (50%). While a bigger percentage of male students (43.5%) have lower cumulative GPAs (2.0-2.9) or perform at an average level than theirfemale counterparts (26.8%). More males perform at an average academic excellence whereas females perform at an average academic performance. On the other hand, in our survey we also asked “What is your most recent completed semester’s GPA?” According to the same relationship this time male students (63%) had higher GPAs (3.0-3.9) or perform at an above average leve than female students (58.5%).Meanwhile, female students (26.8%) had lower GPAs (2.0-2.9) or perform at an average level than male students (19.6%).
In Table 1, looking at the genders, half the sample has a cumulative GPA of 3.0 – 3.9 and the other half has a cumulative GPA of 2.0 – 2.9. Amongst the cumulative GPAs there is a big difference between male and females with GPAs of 3.0-3.9 (68.5%-50.0%=18.3%) and anothersignificant difference for 2.0-2.9 GPAs between males and females students (respectively, 43.5%-26.8%=16.7%). We can infer that females have higher GPAs than males and males have lower GPAs than females. There is little difference between genders and 1.0 -1.9 GPAs (4.8%-2.2%=2.7%) and no difference with 0.0-0.9 GPAs.
Meanwhile on Table 2, more than half of the sample have a recent completed semesterGPA of 3.0 – 3.9. Amongst the most recent completed GPA for 4.0 there was a discernible difference between females and males (12.2%-2.2%=10%). For 3.0-3.9 GPAs is a small difference between males and females (63%-58.5%=4.5%). For 2.0-2.9 GPAs there is a little difference (26.8%-19.6%=7.2%). For 1.0-1.9 GPAs there was an even smaller difference (4.3%-2.4%=1.9%) and for 0.0-0.9 there was none. While...
