RESUMEN
La escuela como una unidad básica, promete un fértil terreno para la innovación pedagógica, basada en las aspiraciones, experiencias y conocimientos de las propias comunidades, y al mismo tiempo constituye una oportunidad para repensar las relacionesentre la escuela y la comunidad. El sector Los Guaritos IV, Municipio Maturín, Estado Monagas, es tomado como punto de referencia para la intervención social. En tal sentido, se plantea, un conjunto de exigencias, que engloban un cambio desde dentro en lo que a gestión socio-educativa se refiere. Para uno y otros implica un trasformación cultural, pues se trata de superar el modelo neoliberalimplantado por el sistema capitalista, en donde las autoridades educativas son la única fuente de iniciativa y toma de decisiones. Se propone, la construcción conjunta de un Proyecto Educativo Integral Comunitario (P.E.I.C) como una herramienta clave para la participación activa de la comunidad educativa. La educación debe responder a los requerimientos de la producción material en una perspectivahumanista y cooperativa. Del mismo modo, debe formar una cultura de participación ciudadana, solidaridad social y además propiciar el dialogo intercultural y el reconocimiento a la diversidad étnica. Es propicio entonces indicar que los (P.E.I.C), es una herramienta para un gran paso y una oportunidad para fortalecer el principio democrático, en la búsqueda de hacer una nueva República.

RESUMEN
The school as a base unit, promises a fertile terrain for teaching innovation, based on the aspirations, experiences and knowledge of the communities themselves, and atthe same time is an opportunity to rethink the relationship between the school and community. The sector Guaritos IV, County Maturín, Monagas State, is taken as a reference point for social intervention. In that sense, there is a set of demands, which include a change from within when it comes to managing socio-educational concerns. For one, and other involves a cultural transformation, as it isto overcome the neoliberal model introduced by the capitalist system, where the educational authorities are the only source of initiative and decision making. It is proposed, the joint construction of an Integrated Community Education Project (PEIC), as a key tool for the active participation of the education community. Education must respond to the demands of production material in a humanisticperspective and cooperative. Similarly, should form a culture of civic participation, social solidarity and also foster intercultural dialogue and the recognition of ethnic diversity. It is propitious time to indicate that (PEIC), is a tool for a big step and an opportunity to strengthen the democratic principle, the search for a new Republic.
