WHAT IS ETHICS?
According what we are discuss of Ethics in the first two weeks, I can say that ethics is
one of the many branches of philosophy. Is that science, as it studies things by theircauses, of the universal and necessary, which is the study of human acts. But those
made by both the will and absolute freedom of the individual. Every human a ct that is
not done by the will of theperson who is absent from freedom, do not enter the studio or
field of ethics.
This is an important point, since ethics, concerns the act well or badly done. By the
same token, if a person is actingimproperly, but did so under pressure or lack of
freedom to choose, can not speak of a human act. Rather, a human act wrong.
But to understand a human act, first you have to know, that is the man.And this area
corresponds to anthropology. Another branch of philosophy. Which studies man as
intended. From which it follows, that man is a substantial unity of body and soul. In other
words, everyman has a body and a soul. At last, we can say, that man is an end in
itself. Since the soul, it provides an intrinsic dignity.
Taking that and back to ethics, man is called to perform good deeds.Which we are
guided through of consciousness. Which we clarified that actions are right and wrong.
Therefore, is that we tend to virtue. Which are habits that make us perfect. Since every
branch ofphilosophy, like ethics, tend to the perfection of man. For the purpose of this,
look from one of these branches. Why virtues, since ethics says that happiness is the
ultimate end of man. Which isachieved by means of perfect act of man.
For this reason, conscience dictates, that being fair, is right. Since an injustice against
all past sorry not to wear. For this reason, we tend to be fair.But a single act, as fair,
nothing changes. Therefore, if such an act, we repeat several times, we become a habit.
