RURAL TURISM

Tourism refers to the activities of persons traveling to and staying in places outside their usual environment. These activities are usually meant to leisure or rest, anddevelop for a period of consecutive time that is less than one year. Rural, on the other hand, is an adjective related to belonging or relating to life in the countryside. The rural area is opposed tourban areas and includes arable land, crops and fields. It is known as rural tourism tourist activity that takes place in a rural area, whether in small towns (fewer than 2,000 inhabitants) or in areasclose to cities but far from the town center.

The ranches, farms and hamlets are remodeled and restructured to be able to receive tourists. The comfort of the guest, therefore, is guaranteed. Ruraltourism is often managed and staffed by the same owners of the fields or farms. These owners usually show visitors agricultural activities that are typical of rural life. Typically, the rural tourismwould lead to a rapprochement between city dwellers and rural communities. While tourists enjoy the natural environment and learn about farm work, host communities benefit from receiving the incomegenerated by tourism.
