Files We'll See:
.blend: Native to blender, a 3D modeling application .wrl: VRML models exported and ready for ARToolit.dat: Tells ARToolkit how to scale and position your model patt.anyName: The generated pattern definition object_data_vrml: links .dat files to patterns Blender to ARToolKit Ready in 8 Steps

Create your 3D scene in Blender Add a few light objects with Add -> Lamp Export a VRML97(.wrl) file Keep your texture image in the same place (if applicable) Edit your .wrl file and change the value of "headlight" from FALSE to TRUE 6.Copy any .dat file as an example with the same name as your model 7. Change your .dat copy to use your newly created .wrl file 8. Keep this .dat fileand .wrl file together

Telling ARToolKit to use Your Files
1. Edit object_data_vrml in the data directory (which is within bin in the bundledexamples) 2. Change the number of patterns to be recognized to the nubmer of models you have (default is 2) 3. Make your definition for each model#pattern 1 VRML Wrl/snoman.dat Data/patt.hiro 80.0 0.0 0.0 4. Leave comments with # symbol
