Statement Of Purpose

“Without music, life would be a mistake”, Mr. Friederich Nietzsche couldn’t be more right. Musicians extract the best of themselves hoping totouch the life of people around the world.

I studied at the Colegio Cedros during elementary and two years of junior high. I went abroad toCorpus Christi Catholic School in Houston for one year, then back to Mexico to the Universidad Panamericana (UP) for 1 year and finished highschool at the Instituto Felix de Jesús.

Cedros and UP are high performance schools in the cultural part as well as academic, and well knownaround the world.
I started my preparation as a violinist at the age of six at Cedros. When I was older I was self-taught into acoustic andelectric guitar as well as in keyboards. I find it easy to learn.
Music became to me just as important as eating or sleeping, it gives my lifemore sense and it helps me to express my feelings.

The reason I’ve decided to dedicate my life to music is because it has changed my life andI’d like to retrieve something back by becoming one day a professional musician and share my knowledge with other people around the world justlike the opportunities I’ve had.


I’m pretty good at playing music and I’m willing to make whatever it takes to become the best. I believethis opportunity at the University of Houston will provide me the educational foundation to accomplish my professional and personal goals.
