Understanding Stress
Many people in today’s society focus on the bad side of stress. The society just know oneof the many faces of stress; the bad face; causing misunderstanding and bad assumptions about what really is stress. A big percent of the society believe that “Stress is a sociable form of mentalillness and a bad nature force affecting the individual” (Primer Impacto interview). But these concepts are not entirely true. Stress is actually an adaptive survival response and is also an emotion.Stress can be both positive and negative depending on the scale of stress and on the sensation of each individual. Stress is express in many ways in people’s life, including the physical environmentaland all the situations confronted in a daily base like for example home, school and a work place; therefore, ”It’s important to inform the society about what are the many faces of stress other than theawful face it portrays” (Gutierrez interview).
There are many reasons why stress is an important part of life and need to be understood. Stress is a fundamental part of life it isneeded as a reminder to our bodies that the situation is potentially stressful. When the best stress works is when it is on a smooth scale, so when stress is in a low level just enough to motivate theindividual then is constructive, the time when it becomes harmful or becomes difficult is when it begins to overwhelm you, when the emotional stress begins to take all the attention .When it comes tofeeling sadness, anxiety, worry, fear or anger then this feeling are linked with bad stress and this is what many people associate stress with.
