Like music and political and social movements, fashion in the 60's went through a revolution. For this reason it is not easy to summarize in few words.
The first years ofthe decade, women have not changed much compared to the 50.Chanel-style suits and skirts are still used. But in the mid 60's, came the mini skirt and short hair pixiestyle that marked the beginning of change. In the late 60's, started wearing hair long, loose and general style was primarily influenced by hippies.
For men, the fashion worldhas gone through several transformations in the 60's. In the early years was the prototype of Italian suit, but that changed quickly in the mid-60: pants narrowed,narrowed lapels and ties.
For younger readers, there were several religious movements. The most influential fashion were first rockers, movement born in the UK, jackets, leatherjackets and pants or jeans, then the Mods, who were also born in the UK but that influenced the rest of the world with its semi-formal aesthetics, and finally the hippiesand flower power, a movement that was born in California and spread rapidly around the world, and probably the most influential of all.

Parallel tothese movements, then, as I explained earlier, the trends in fashion ranged as follows:
From 1960 to 1964 - channel style dresses, small caps or hats without wings, skinnyjeans.
From 1965 to 1970 - The skirts get shorter, there are the mini, the disappearing skirts, pants widen at the bottom and the prints are very colorful. Fashion isvery influenced by the hippie aesthetic.
In recent years the 60's Mod aesthetics also greatly influences the commercial fashion, with its ministers and colorful pop style:
