The Journey

Mary Oliver's the journey is a poem to emerge from of the deep understanding of the everyday experience of any person. This poem describes the detachment's process that aperson must take to move for toward their own personal liberation. Everyone, late than early, begin a similar journey: when the son leave home for first time, the girl who is separated from herparents to marry, the wife that discover her marriage don't have any sense, the man who decide to leave the job in a company for other more personally more significant or the daily routine to makeoppressive the life of any person. The poem itself is a short journey, a brief reading that take us to the discover of the truth that should be obvious, but only rarely want or can see. The important is knowthat when truth is manifest, be heard, because it is the inner voice that will tell where to go.

Without doubt, the fear of change, to this process so difficult to accept reality and the constantstruggle of wanting to renew daily life is a stage that everyone at some point in their lives has to pass. It’s a transformation and a risk to be taken despite the fear, fear to discover the personwhich really is inside, after to all, of so much suffering for not finding an identity, the time has come to listen to yourself, for more complicated than is deciding to do or to change something. Theimmense desire to save what once was, the longing of wanting to be happy, to feel loved, wanting to be different, to rediscover what once lost, of fanning the person who so long forgotten, always pushyou to not be conformist.

For too long you can live in darkness, thinking that things are well, conforming with for what you get, conforming for what you give. You can dream about what you aren’t,without doing something to regain the soul of what we wanted to be someday. The here is now, there's no tomorrow, no future, only is forget the fear, walking and face to insecurities, wish and yearn...
