THE OTHER FACE OF THE HOTEL SECTOR
The touristic sector has a good growth in the last years for the different activities and project that the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Tourism has been developing for attract the inversions in all the areas, to show the best face of the country both national and internationally, and ensure the protection of natural resource, architectural, tourist sitesand overall national interest, but what means tourism, The World Tourism Organization (W.T.O) approved the next definition about this, “activities the people do during their traveling and staying in different places of their usual environment, for a period of time consecutive lower a year, for leisure, business and others reasons”. (Rebull, 2002). The tourism in various areas or regions of thecountry means an important source of income, to encourage the investment in state for construction and improvement the infrastructure of roads, bridge, communications, etc., and aims the social, economic and environment progress. This sector contribute in a high part of the PIB of the country, for that reason the tourism generate good opportunities for the people who needs, encourages and ensures theprotection of the resources through state investment in preservation, prevention, care and restoration not only of natural resources if not also architectural, historic, cultural and artistic, among other places; create a conscience between tourist and Colombian people about the importance of the country protect and release the resources without destroy these. For other side, this grown in thissector contribute the increase of demand in the hotel sector because this actions are able to attract people of other countries that want to visit the country whether for business, leisure, or just out of curiosity and to learn about the country, for that reason the foreign investment is grown in Colombia since last years, many international companies want open operations in this industry for theincreasing benefits that are presenting, besides with the implementation of NAFTA, the duties are modifying to favor the producers, entrepreneurs, farmers, wholesale and retail traders, and society in general, all of this allow the hotel sector to improve his tariffs, services, infrastructure and contribute to job training and the grown of the economy of Colombia. According to the above the factorwhich affects more is the political because this imposes different laws that affect in negative form the operations of the guild, and this are explaining for three variable, the first the hotel illegality, second the conflict and third is how the corruption affects this sector.

Insecurity presented in Colombia for the guerrilla conflict, paramilitarism and common crime are dilemmas that dailyhappen in the country and consequently the companies which development their commercial activities there, in our case hotel sector as national as international. It is clear that this situation is not temporary but daily reality; so that companies want to enter the national market have to be conscious of the insecurity presented and the forms to affront it, also must be able to protect their guestsand employee, avoid be point of terrorist attack in the worst case, of robbery, and even the known vaccines; this depend a lot of the area where want to open subsidiary, for that reason is advisable realize a study about the best cities or departments in which not run a risk of greater proportion for can establish a filial there, on the other hand, if the hotel company does not a previous studythe National Government can provide it with legal aid type to face these situations and make available to the National Police, depending the grade of the situations that the company could submit it.
