The JF-1 Sky-Conqueror is a General Aviation basic trainer, designed under FAR-23. It is as small as useful. With a MTOW of just 650kg (1433lb), Sky-Conqueror is powered by a reliable 100HP engine: the Continental O-200. Aircraft can carry two pilots (in tandem configuration) with a small cargo. About theDesign

This aircraft was firstly conceived to be a basic trainer for student pilots. Obviously, because it is a small airplane with standard performances and characteristics, the Sky-Conqueror can flight with other roles such as recreation or personal transport; but it is not approved for aerobatics.
Its high win improves pilots’ vision and entry. Tandem configuration allows a less fuselagewidth, reducing drag, and therefore fuel consumption. Tail-dragger undercarriage and high trapezoidal wing also reduce the fuel consumption.
Even in most tail-down attitude, airplane has an acceptable visibility. And in the normal one, runway can be clearly seen from the cockpit.
Sky-Conqueror’s airfoil is NACA 4418. That one is a turbulent flow airfoil. It means that wing does not need as careas those of laminar flow. Despite of the big wing thickness, every space is good used: fuel, cargo and battery are located into the wing. Cargo and battery are in upper part of cockpit, inside the wing which is used as roof. And fuel is located into two tanks which are between wing root and a third of semi-span.
Finally, there is one benefit else of high wing configuration: it does not need a fuelpump inside the tank. Anyway, Sky-Conqueror has fuel pumps to improve engine’s feed. But in fact of an eventual in flight serious electrical failure, gravity would still being feeding the engine instead of out-of-service pumps.




Sky-Conqueror is a FAR-23 approved aircraft into the normal category, so that users never have to ignore safety limitations of that category. In the same way,aircraft, power plant and components manufacturers’ limitations have to be always obeyed.


Avionics and Instrumental

Although Sky-Conqueror is a basic trainer, it has a very complete instrument panel and enough avionic equipment.
Obviously, there are the more basic instruments and some ones else. In this panel, users will find standard equipment like this which is found in classicalairplanes. All instruments are FAA approved. One of the criteria was to use instruments which have a typical configuration so that it simplifies understanding.
In the other hand, the avionic equipment is enough to a good navigation and a safety flight and landing. Sky-Conqueror has a Marker Beacon, a DME, an ADF, a Navigation Receiver (Glide Slope and VOR/LOC) and a VHF transmitter-receiver.
