Definición

Es una enfermedad infecciosa granulomotora causada por el basilo acido resistente mycobacterium tuberculosis o raras veces por el micobacterium bovis y hoy en día existe otras bacterias potencialmente patógenas para los seres humanos.

Esta enfermedad se presenta en cualquier parte del mundo,con variación distintiva en el índice de mortalidad entre las personas que viven en las diferentes aéreas geográficas y distintas razas.
