INTRODUCTION
JUSTIFICATION YEAR PLANNING

Authorities in educative area know the real importance oflearning of a foreign language in the integral development of our pupils. Nowadays, it´s very important the necessity of knowing and have a good command of some ways of communication, so we´re building a word without borders, whose main characteristic is the mobility between people, moreover the elimination of psychological barriers to accept the cultural diversity.
So, in the real decree of 27of June, in which established the common languages of Primary Education, it said that the teaching in foreign languages begin to First Cycle of Primary Education to response to the necessity of communicating and understanding between different cultures. And everything will be of an egalitarian form for pupils.
Now, we are going to show our units of work that we are going to teach during theyear.

ENGLISH AREA CURRICULUM
GENERAL OBJECTIVES
1. Listen to and understand oral messages, in different communication contexts, and develop concrete and varied tasks adopting a respectful and cooperative attitude.
2. Express orallyin an appropriate and coherent way according to everyday situations by integrating verbal and nonverbal procedures, using the phonetic aspects of rhythm, stress and intonation as basic communication elements.
3. Expressively and understandingly read different texts related to their own experiences and interests, and extract general and specific information to achieve a concrete goal.
4. Writecorrect, coherent and appropriately, using to help them, models and different texts with varied purposes concerning the students’ experience and interests.
5. Autonomously use traditional resources as well as Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in order to gather and present different information and communicate in the foreign language.
6. Value the foreign language and anylanguage, in general, as a token of cultural enrichment and as a means of understanding and communication among people from different nationalities, languages and cultures, avoiding any types of linguistic discrimination and stereotypes.
7. Show a receptive, interested and confident attitude in their own learning capacity and use of the foreign language; as well as utilize previous knowledge andexperience with other languages so as to acquire the foreign one in a faster and more efficient and autonomous manner.
8. Use reading in a foreign language as a source for personal pleasure and enrichment.
