However, make sure you cite all of your sources appropriately and explain how the country’s past is anticipated to influenceits future economic growth and development. Key Industry Analysis (14): The discussion of Vietnam’s important natural resources such as coffee, pepper and coal is interesting, as is the discussion ofthe evolving oil and natural gas industry. Some analysis of how these resources are being used to leverage emerging industries would be useful if there are any examples. Emerging Industry Analysis (13):There certainly appears to be opportunities in the future for rubber, cement, footwear and pharmaceutical production in Vietnam based on your analysis. Why have these industries found the country soattractive as opposed to other locations in the region? The tax exemptions and foreign policies you mention would presumable appeal to all types of industries, so why have certain industries thrivedin the country? This information, rather than only a description of the emerging industries, would bolster the analysis. International Competitiveness Theory (12): This section continues to providegood information about emerging industries and some of the steps taken by Vietnam to encourage growth, but the analysis does not describe a framework such as Porter’s Diamond Model of Cho’s Nine FactorModel to analyze the country’s economic development. This would have been helpful. Federal Trade Policies (15): The trade policy discussion is excellent and does a very good job discussion the uniqueapproaches Vietnam has taken related to gender equality and reproductive health policy.
