Walt Disney World Resort (often so called Walt Disney World, Disney World, Disney or Disneylandia) is a complex recreacional famous for his(her,your) thematic parks andnumerous hotels. The complex is produced by a division of the company Disney. It is located in the zone of Seen(Dressed) Lake Buena and Bay Lake in Florida, near Kissimee's city, in Orlando's suburbs.
Theconstruction began in 1960, less than one year after Walt Disney's death, after having planned and acquired for his(her,your) construction an area of 110 square km. On October 1, 1971, it(he,she)opened his(her,your) doors only the park known as Magic Kingdom, later were added to the complex the thematic parks Epcot, Disney MGM Studios (now so called Disney's Hollywood Studios) and Disney AnimalKingdom.
Besides 4 thematic principal parks, the complex have 2 water parks, 6 circuits of golf, a sports complex, a racetrack, 23 Disney's hotels and numerous shops, restaurants and places ofentertainment. The total area of the property have more than 25.000 acres (approximately 10.000 hectares) and is the complex of parks témáticos bigger of the world, in spite of the fact that in the lastdecade, big extensions of area have sold for residential sets and other projects, including the area now occupied by Celebration's city, constructed but not administered for Disney.
