What Is Lost In Translation From One Language To Another?

Language is the communication of thoughts and feelings through a system of arbitrary signals, such as voice sounds, gestures, or written symbols. There are many languages and cultures all over theworld. These languages are similar or different in many ways. These can sometimes cause difficulties or ease to be able to communicate with people from other countries that have another language.However, when people try to translate from one language to another, it is not always the same. Sometimes, they may get confused, or use words that are not available in other countries and therefore itdoesn’t mean the same thing. In many languages, some words have two different meanings in the natal country, but not in the other, which causes confusion and misunderstanding in the communication.These translations require change in grammar in order to be correct, and therefore it cannot be exactly the same. To be able to translate properly, it is needed that people know how to elaborate asentence correctly.

Sometimes, when people translate and can’t find a word that expresses the same thing they want to say, instead of finding a specific word, many are used to describe the meaning. “Mostlinguists would say that there is no such thing as a perfect translation and that something is always lost when we move from one language to another.” When translating, the words structure of asentence may be different in order to make sense, and as a result, words need to be added or eliminated from the sentence.

Sometimes translating certain things is not the best option. For example,when we watch a movie that it is translated from English to Spanish, it is not the same. This is because the movie was originally made in English language and therefore when it is translated; the feelingor the point of the dialogue is lost. This is why sometimes it sounds absurd or it doesn’t make the same impact that in the original language.
