Listening Components:

Explore:
1) Listen to the speaker(s) without reading the text .
2) Listen to the speaker(s) whilst reading the text (Click See Script).
3) Use the bilingual dictionary tounderstand unfamiliar words.
4) Record new vocabulary in student notebook.
5) Practice pronunciation and fluency using the highly sophisticated Record Yourself tool.
6) Select up to five sentences,without using the See Translation tool translate them into your native language and record them in student notebook.
7) Check written translation against See Translation tool.

Practice:
1)Listen to the speaker(s).
2) Read the instructions and answer the comprehension questions.
3) Click Check Answer, and repeat the exercise if answer is wrong.
4) Click See Answer to get the correctanswer.

Test:
1) Click Start Test.
2) If necessary listen to the speaker(s).
3) Answer the comprehension questions.
4) Click Submit Test.
5) Check Test Scores.
6) Look at incorrect questions andidentify correct answers where possible.
7) Repeat test using Listen to.
8) Check My Progress.

Optional:
1) Create a series of comprehension questions based on the component. Post questions on aforum and have peers answer the questions.
2) Read a related article and express your opinion in the appropriate forum.

Reading Components:

Explore:
1) Read the text.
2) Click Hear All, andread the text while listening to the speaker(s).
3) Use the bilingual dictionary to understand unfamiliar words.
4) Record new vocabulary in student notebook.
5) Select up to five sentences, withoutusing the See Translation tool translate them into your native language and record them in student notebook.
6) Check written translation against See Translation tool.
7) Write down main idea inthree sentences or less.
8) Check written main idea against Main Idea tool.
9) Click Key Words and check comprehension of each word by looking at the translation and examples.
10) Click Reference...
