En si significa “medición económica” pero la econometría es muy amplia y la podemos deducir de varias maneras ya sea como un análisis cuantitativo , una ciencia social, como una determinación empírica de leyes económicas, etc. También podríamos decir que la econometría se introduce por un camino diferente de la teoría económica usando técnicas estadísticas.
