CALDERA DE BANDAMA TOUR

Today we will be travelling to La Caldera de Bandama, one of the most important landmarks in Gran Canaria. The plan is as follows: We will meet at "Parque San Telmo", wherewe will make a brief introduction of what we could find in our trip. From the park we will depart at 10:30 PM towards our destination in El Pico de Bandama. The estimated cost of the trip would be ofabout 20 euro and upon arrival the tourist will have an estimated 40 minutes to explore the Caldera, take photographs and have as much fun as humanly possible, being of course mindful of safetymeasures and the like.

Now that this introduction is over, we will make a brief outline of what we will find: The bandama crater Natural monument is part of Tafira´s protected landscape in Gran Canaria.This volcanic caldera (crater) sits at 569 m. above sea level at its highest point, in what is called Pico de Bandama. This caldera is about one kilometer in diameter and has a depression of 200meters; it houses many different botanic species endemic to the Canary Islands, which can be viewed from a vantage point once one reaches the viewing platform sitting past the crater, which offers the bestpossible view of the caldera and its surroundings, being a magnificent sight to behold for any tourist. We will finish this trip by visiting the restaurant “La Caldera de Bandama” where we will takelunch before returning to the rendezvous point, from where we will begin the trip back to Parque de San Telmo.

PARQUE NACIONAL “CALDERA DE TABURIENTE” TOUR
Today we will be visiting the NationalPark “Caldera de Taburiente”, one of the most important places in all of the canary archipelago. Like the island itself a volcanic marvel of nature, it is distinguished by the great amounts of water ithouses, both underground and at a surface level.
