1. What are the characteristics of active learners?
R/ students are involved in more than listening, less on transmitting information and more on developing students’ skills,Ss are involved in higher-order thinking and engaged in activities such as reading discussing and writing, and more emphasis on students’ exploration of their own attitudes and values.

2. Whichones apply to you?
R/ I would apply to me all of them because each characteristic involve and active different aspects that complement my learning process.

3. What are the advantages of beingan active learner?
R/Some advantages of being an active learner are the students are doing something including discovering, processing, and applying information at the same time. Moreover, the use ofcritical thinking, exploration of their own attitudes and values, and the opportunity to get engage the students in class.

4. How to promote active learning in the classroom?
R/we can promoteactive learning in the classroom through of techniques where students do more than simply listen to a lecture such as: think-pair-share, students debates, analyze case studies, concepts mapping etc.Nathaly Vieira Pino
Towards Reflective Teaching


1. How does the article define reflective teaching?
R/reflective teaching is when teachers move beyond the levelof automatic or routinised responses to classroom situations and achieve a higher level of awareness of how they teach, of the kinds of decisions they make as they teach, and of the value andconsequences of particular instructional decisions.

2. What ideas does it explore for reflective teaching?
R/ the use of critical reflection in own experiences; using collaborative observations,journals, recordings etc, in order to improve own teaching process.
