BULLYING

What´s Bullying?
Bullying is persistent unwelcome behavior, mostly using unwarranted or invalid criticism, fault-finding, also exclusion, isolation, being singled out and treateddifferently, being shouted at, humiliated, excessive monitoring, having verbal and written warnings imposed, and much more. In the workplace, bullying usually focuses on distorted or fabricated allegationsof underperformance.

Why do people bully?
The purpose of bullying is to hide inadequacy. Bullying has nothing to do with managing etc. good managers manage, bad managers bully. Management ismanaging; bullying is not managing. Therefore, anyone who chooses to bully is admitting their inadequacy, and the extent to which a person bullies is a measure of their inadequacy. Bullies project theirinadequacy on the others.

a) To avoid facing up to their inadequacy and doing something about it;
b) To avoid accepting responsibility for their behavior and the effect it has on others, and,
c) Toreduce their fear of being seen for what they are, namely a weak inadequate and often incompetent individuals.
d) To divert attention away from their inadequacy - in an insecure or badly-managedworkplace, this is how inadequate, incompetent and aggressive employees keep their jobs.

CONSEQUENCES OF BULLYING

Many people think that bullying is a normal part of childhood or that "kids will bekids." However, research shows that in fact, bullying can cause negative academic, physical, social, emotional, and psychological consequences on victims, bullies, and witnesses. These consequencescan be short-term or long-term. Bullying can also greatly affect the overall climate of a school

First of all, as a result of being bullied, victims may experience many mental or physicalhealth-related consequences. Studies show that victims have more anxiety, sadness, sleep difficulties, low self-esteem, headaches, stomach pain, and general tension than their peers who are not being bullied....
