• Both firms have got similar stories: they have borne with a specific goal to attain. • Both histories can be divided into four steps • Enel started and kept on operating in according to electric energy sector from the beginning; HP diversified its core business, switching froman unfocused business to a specific one. • In the 3° phase, both firms expand their product offering • In the 4° phase both firms become international, expanding geographically and differentiate their products.
