THE COURAGE OF A MAN
Christopher Reeve was born in New York, the Big Apple, on September 25th. His
father, named Franklin, was a teacher, writer and traducer, and his mother
,Barbara was a journalist, his parents was a good example to follow for him.
Reeve chose the way of performance and arts. He appeared at the Williamstown
Theater Festival at the age of 15 with anincredible actuation, and he never
stopped since then. After graduating, he was an errant traveler across Europe and
America, playing the roles that were offered to him and wining in professionalexperience. After coming back from Europe, Reeve decided enlist to Juilliard arts
school in NY city, the most famous school in united states , then he took a little
papers in movies with a lowbudget , the big moment whit the superman movies
was so soon. After the movie “My Life”, Reeve that he had been asked to audition
for the leading role as Clark Kent/Superman in the big film,Superman: The Movie
(1978) The film grossed $300,218,018 worldwide. He Won a BAFTA Film Award
for Most Promising Newcomer to Leading Film Roles. Then he made superman 2, 3 & 4.
Reeve took up horseriding in 1985 after learning to ride for the film Anna Karenina.
He was initially allergic to horses, so he took antihistamines. He trained so hard
during some months, and by 1989 he began the AnnaKarenina’s movie.
On May 27, 1995, Reeve's horse had a refusal. Reeve fell and sustained a cervical
injuries that paralyzed him from the neck down. He had no recollection of the
incident.Witnesses said that Buck started the jump over the third fence, and then
suddenly stopped. His helmet prevented any brain damage, but the impact of his
215 pound (98 kg) body hitting the groundshattered his first and second vertebrae.
Reeve had not been breathing for three minutes before paramedics arrived. He
was taken to the local hospital, and then flown by helicopter to the Medical...
