Advertising: Written Task #2:
1. You are concerned about how females are stereotyped or  portrayed in some advertisements (Axe, Calvin Klein, Dolce and Gabbana "gang rape" ad, Reebok "cheat on yourgirlfriend ad) )  which you find offensive to the female gender .  Write a letter to the Company’s President against their ads.

Hello, my name is Sol Barrientos and the purpose of this letteris to demonstrate how your company’s ads are not an advantage in society as me and many other girls feel insulted.
Since in early marketing, women have always been portrayed in a morestereotyped and suggestive manner, where as the majority of advertisements featuring boys as "full macho" or "sophisticated". Females have been targeted as the weak of both genders.
Exampling the oldcommercials from the 30's running to the 50's, women being portrayed as people confined to house jobs, whilst the husband is always the high ranking "Business man". The gender portraying suggestsfemales cannot be in the same line of work or that they aren’t able to perform the same type of work as males.
Women don’t like to be put in a situation where they are placed to be the nice,good-looking housewives while their husbands do all the monetary jobs and hard effort on them.
Another type of ads is the ones that females are stereotyped as the sexy femme fatale. The models usedfor this kind of ad are extra thin and attractive persons. There are about 90% of the women in the World that don’t exactly look as the girls placed in the ads. When men see these ads, they would loveto find a girl that looks just like it, which is impossible. They often compare us to pictures and expect us to be Miss Perfection.
Women and their occupation in television ads is being thebest mom ever or a hot housewife that cleans everything without missing any spot. Supermoms aren’t a good way of showing females because maybe girls would like to be working in an office and discussing...
