Black community

With the term usually refers to black people whose skin tone is darker than others, called by opposition "white". Although the name of a person as "black" varies from culture toculture, it is often associated with people living sub-Saharan Africa, also known as "Black Africa". For its part, the existence of a black population in America, known as "African Americans", is causedby the kidnapping of millions of Africans and their forced removal to America to work as slaves by European colonial powers between the ages XVI and XIX.

Approximately one billion people can beconsidered "black", with varying contributions from other human groups, representing about 15% of the population. Black people can be found on every continent, and so broad distribution is due largelyto two factors the slave trade that took place mainly between the fifteenth and nineteenth centuries through the Atlantic and Indian oceans of not less than 80 million black people were direct orindirect victims, and 2) to the current product emigration trend of low living standards posed by African countries.
It is estimated that about 75% of black people in the world live in sub-Saharan Africa,which in turn constitute the vast majority-80% - of the continent's total population of about 985 million people. In turn, America is the second continent with the largest number of blacks, which areoften called African American, representing over 20%-about 200 million of the total population-American. African Americans reside mainly in Brazil, USA, Colombia, Venezuela, Panama and Caribbeanislands, especially Haiti, Dominican Republic, Cuba, Jamaica, among other countries.1 Many others live in Asia, mainly in India and the Arabian Peninsula and in Israel, home to about 118,000 black Jews(1.6% of its population), who emigrated from Ethiopia to Israel in the decades after the creation of the Israeli state in 1948.
