Today, all nations in the World had experienced a variation in temperatures. We are living a natural phenomenon called Greenhouse Effect; this is, when the radiation from the sun comes into the atmosphere and the atmosphere catches certain quantity that keeps the planet warm. If this effect didn’t exist, it wouldn’t be possible life in the Earth, it would beinhabitable. The main problem is that as we add carbon dioxide to the atmosphere, as well as few other gases, we are kind of putting more layers of blank around our planet, making the ozone layer to disappear. This is what we call the global warming phenomenon. The phenomenon affects the entire World; directly or indirectly. It is affecting all the humans, plants and animals, the whole nature, frompole to pole and all the oceans. Some regions are being affected more directly than others. For example: the poles. The ice in the poles is melting and the level of water is increasing, this affects the animals and the ecosystem of the area, which affects the food chain and provokes that many animals die. The problem of the poles melting also causes global changes as the weather of the Earth ischanging, there are more and stronger storms, hurricanes, and even tsunamis and floods.
The global warming started after the last ice age; this is about 8000 years ago. In these ages the carbon dioxide mysteriously started rising, and in this time it supposed to be reducing. The years passed and the people started cutting down the trees of the forests, this provokes and increases the carbondioxide into the atmosphere. The phenomenon also got worse since the Industrial Revolution started. The Industrial Revolution is the age when the machines were created to make easier the work of the human race. Many of these machines work by burning fossil fuels or other natural resources (such as the carbon). The wastes that the machines produced became in carbon dioxide, and since then the humans haddepended on machines and engines, so the global warming is constantly increasing affecting the planet.
Nowadays, the situation of this phenomenon is worrying all the people in the world. Some of the effects provoke environments start changing in which animals, and plants must get adapted to the new weather, but not all the species succeed, many plants and animals die and become extinguished.One example are the coral reefs, they are getting smaller, so many marine species are endangered. Today, people are starting to be conscious about this effect and they are creating campaigns, such as Green Peace, that offers solutions to preserve environments. Other companies are donating money to communities or campaigns which help to reforest fields and forests, to create water purificationplants, and help centers to recycle paper, paperboard, etc. People is separating the trash, so they can create compost or manure, many of us are using the plastic bags until they break or uses cloth bags to carry the things of the supermarket; Most schools induce students to collect tetrapack in their homes and bring it to schools and get them to recycling centers. These are some examples of the actionswe people can make to stop the devastation of our World, but the damage is so big that we need to create other extreme solutions that could help the preserve the habitats and species.
I think this is a relevant issue because it involves the entire planet, such as animals, plants and humans. We must consider that human I not the only living being that contaminate the atmosphere, some animals,such as the cows, also contaminate with their gases. But despite this, the blame for the damages that are happening today in our planet is ours, as we are the only specie that could do something to save the Earth, so I think it is very important to make everyone aware and get conscious about what is happening with our environment, so we all could help reducing rubbish and help to conserve...
