Learning Is Not Aspontaneous Event

LEARNING IS NOT AN SPONTANEOUS EVENT

What most describe myself during my school years as a learner, was my great enthusiasm for learning, a great desire for learning abouteverything ,that converted me in a good listener and observer and that determined my style of learning at the university.
Today’s students are tomorrow’s leaders of a country and the qualities they have,definitively determine the students’ success at school. So, who is a good learner? What should be his qualities? What being a good learner depends on?
It is true that the environment that teachersprovide is so relevant to develop students interests and abilities, it is also important that learners assume their role if they want to be successful at getting their goals.
Based on my personalexperience I list down seven outstanding qualities:
a) Attitude: basically, a good learner has got the ability and willingness to learn new subjects even when they are not motivating for him.
b) A goodlearner must have a passion for knowledge. It is an innate energy or drive that facilitates a need for higher understanding, which may also be particular to a specific goal or objective.
c) Ability:having the ability to apply the results of his learning into a creative way makes the learner to achieve the goals.
d) Self-discipline: managing the time well is an important element that every goodstudent must have. On the contrary, it might negatively affect the ability of a learner to achieve the goals delaying tasks, such as writing assignments, reading textbooks, etc.
e) Self-motivation:self-discipline undoubtedly will guide the learner to develop self-motivation, the desire to learn with a personal purpose on mind.

f) Be able of understanding rather than memorizing concepts: Thememorized facts and theories will stay in students ‘memory until they leave school, college or university. Once out of school, the student will completely forget the concepts that they learned. Therefore...
