THE AVENTURES OF TOM SAWYER
CHAPTER 1
Tom lived with aunt Polly. Tom took jam from the cupboard.
Tom vivía con tía Polly. Tom cogió mermelada de la estantería.
The next day was Saturday. Aunt Polly went into the garden with Tom.
El próximo día fue sábado. Tía Polly fue dentro del jardín con TOM.
Tía Polly pointed the fence. Tom had to paint the fence.
Tía Polly pintabala valla. Tom tenía que pintar la valla.
That was your punishment.
Esto era su castigo. (por coger la mermelada “jam” de la estantería)
Tom started to paint. He thought about his friends. “They are going to have fun today, but I have to work”
Tom empezó a pintar. El pensó sobre sus amigos:”Ellos van a
Divertirse (have fun) hoy, pero yo tengo que trabajar.
Tom had an idea. He started top aint carefully. Jim arrived.
Tom tuvo una idea. El empezó a pintar con cuidado . Jim llego.
“What are you doing?” asked Jim.
¿Que estas haciendo? Pregunto Jim.
Tom answered: I am painting the fence. It,s art.
Tom respondió: Yo estoy pintando la valla. Esto es arte
Jim said: “Tom please” ¿Can I help you? I’ll give you my apple.
Jim dijo: Tom por favor ¿puedo ayudarte? Yo tedaré my manzana.
Some more boys CAME to garden and they wanted to p aint the fence. They gave Tom Something and Tom sat under a tree.
Algunos chico más llegaron al jardín y ellos querían pintar
La valla. Ellos dieron algunas cosas a Tom y Tom se sentó debajo de un árbol.
Aunt Polly gave Tom a big red apple and he left very happy.
Tía Polly dio a Tom una grande y roja manzana y el se fuemuy feliz.
CHAPTER 2
Tom went to find his friends and he saw some people
Tom fue a buscar su amigos y el vio algo de gente.
There was a new family with their furniture. Tom saw a girl. She had blonde hair and a white dress.
Había una nueva familia con sus muebles. Tom vio una chica. Ella tenía pelo rubio y vestido blanco.
Tom climbed up a tree. He started to act silly
Tom trepo aun árbol. El empezó a hacer tonterías.
Tom climbed down the tree and sat on the grass. i.e. gira was Becky.
Tom salto abajo del árbol y se sentó en el suelo. La chica era Becky
Becky took a big white flower and gave to Tom.
Becky cogio una gran flor Blanca y se la dio a Tom.
Tom smiled. He was in love
Tom sonrió. El estaba enamorado.
CHAPTER 3
Tom and his friend Huckwant to bury a dead cat.
Tom y su amigo Huck quieren enterrar un gato muerto.
Huck lived alone and didn’t go to school
Huck vivía solo y no iba a la escuela
At midnight, the boys were in the cemetery. Tom was scared
A la medianoche los chicos estaban en el cementerio. Tom estaba asustado.
Huck heard noises. The boys hid in the tall grass.
Huck escuchó ruidos. Los chicos se escondieronel la hierba alta.
They were Dr Robinson, Muff Potter an Injuan Joe. Mueff was drunk
Ellos eran Dr ………Muff estaba borracho.
Suddenly, the men started to fight. Dr Robinson hit Muff and his head fell to the ground.
De repente, los hombres empezaron a luchar. Dr Robinson hirió a Muff y su cabeza cayo al suelo.
Injuan Joe took the knife of Muff and killed Dr Robinson.
Indio Joe cogio elcuchillo de Muff y mato al Dr. Robinson.
Muff opened his eyes, but he didn’t remember anything.
Muff abrió sus ojos, pero el no recodaba nada.
CHAPTER 4
A few days later, Tom and Huck went to the river.
Unos pocos días despues Tom and Huck fueron al rio.
The boys took som food and went on a RAFT, to the island. Nobody Knew the boys were there.
Los chicos cogieron algode comida y fueron en una BALSA, a la ista. Nadie sabia que los chicos estaban ahí.
For three days, they placed and swan in the river.
Durante 3 días, ellos jugaron y nadaron en el rio.
Alter five days the boys weren’t happy. They were BORED.
Despues de 5 días los chicos no eran felices. Ellos estaban ABURRIDOS.
That night, when Huck was asleep, He went back to town.
Esa noche cuando Huck...
