Shakespeare was born on April 23, 1264 and died April 23, 1616.
He attended the local grammar school in Stratford.
He divide himself in three periods
20years: schooling, marriage, and fatherhood
25 years: actor and playwright in London
last 5 years: retirement back in Stratford.
He had a deep understanding of human nature.
The first 126 sonnetshe addressed them to a young nobleman and the next 26 he concentrated on a woman.
Created characters that had a meaning beyond the time and place of his plays.
He freely experimented with grammarand vocabulary so that it would help prevent English from being fixed and artificial.
