The Internet is one of the greatest inventions of our generation. It has changed the way we communicate with each other, shop and get our information. Theinfluence of the Internet has spread beyond the confines of the online world and has affected every aspect of our lives.  

The primary purpose of the Internet is to transmit information. As soonas the Internet came into being information could travel across the world almost instantly.

One of the biggest impacts that the Internet has had is on the communication between normal citizens.Anybody can post something on the Internet that can be seen by anyone else, it has essentially democratized mass communication. Websites like Facebook, MySpace and Twitter have revolutionized the way weorganize our social lives, while websites like YouTube have and iPlayer have changed the shape of our entertainment.  
So, the influence of the social nets has two consequences: The benefits and therisks

Between the benefits we have:
* Socialization and Communication
Social media sites allow teens to accomplish online many of the tasks that are important to them offline: staying connectedwith friends and family, making new friends, sharing pictures, and exchanging ideas. Social media participation also can offer adolescents deeper benefits that extend into their view of self,community, and the world, just like: opportunities for community engagement through raising money for charity and volunteering for local events, including political and philanthropic events.
* EnhancedLearning Opportunities
