(Autor)nicolovelycat@hotmail.com.RESUMEN PREGUNTA DE INVESTIGACIÓN ¿Cuál es la frecuencia de recién nacidos (RN) con bajo peso al nacer (BPN) en pacientes con síndrome hipertensivo del embarazo (SHE), en el Servicio de Ginecología y Obstetricia del Hospital Municipal Boliviano Holandés entre septiembre de 2005 y septiembre de 2006? OBJETIVO GENERAL Conocer la frecuencia de RN con BPN en pacientes con SHEen el Servicio de Ginecología y Obstetricia del Hospital Municipal Boliviano Holandés en 13 meses de estudio. OBJETIVOS ESPECIFICOS * Conocer el peso de RN de pacientes con síndrome hipertensivo del embarazo. * Identificar la edad gestacional de RN de pacientes con síndrome hipertensivo del embarazo. * Determinar la relación entre los tipos de síndrome hipertensivo del embarazo y RN conBPN. * Identificar la presencia de óbito en pacientes con síndrome hipertensivo del embarazo. MATERIAL Y METODOS El presente trabajo es un estudio descriptivo donde se revisó 210 historias clínicas de pacientes con síndrome hipertensivo del embarazo, internadas en el Servicio de Ginecología y Obstetricia del Hospital Municipal Boliviano Holandés de la ciudad de El Alto, entre septiembre de 2005y septiembre de 2006. RESULTADOS En las 210 historias clínicas revisadas en el Servicio de Ginecología y Obstetricia del Hospital Municipal Boliviano Holandés en el período mencionado, hallamos 57 casos de RN con BPN, que corresponde a 27,1%. Además se encontró un 23% de RN con BPN en relación con la edad gestacional, y la relación entre RN con BPN y los diferentes tipos de estados hipertensivoses similar a la referida en la literatura. CONCLUSIONES Concluimos que la frecuencia de RN con BPN es similar a la de otros países y que se debe implementar nuevos trabajos que pongan bases para conocer las complicaciones del SHE como el BPN. ABSTRACT RESEARCH QUESTION What isthe frequency of newborns (NB) with low birth weight (LBW) in patients with gestational hypertension (GH), in the section of Gynaecology and Obstetrics in the Hospital Municipal Boliviano Holandés between September 2005 and September 2006? GENERAL AIMTo establish the percentage of NB with LBW in patients with GH in the section of Gynaecology and Obstetrics of the Hospital Municipal BolivianoHolandés by a 13-months survey. SPECIFIC AIMS. * To assess the weight of NB from mothers with gestational hypertension. * To identify the gestational age of patients with gestational hypertension * To determine the relation of the types of gestational hypertension and NB with LBW. * To identify the presence of death in patients with gestational hypertension. MATERIAL AND METHODS The presentpaper is a descriptive study in which 210 clinical histories were reviewed of patients with gestational hypertension admitted to the section of Gynaecology and Obstetrics of the Hospital Municipal Boliviano Holandés in the city of El Alto, between September 2005 and September 2006. RESULTS Of the 210 clinical histories that were reviewed in the section of Gynaecology and Obstetrics at the HospitalMunicipal Boliviano Holandés in the afore mentioned period, we found a percentage of 27.1% of NB with LBW which corresponds to 57 cases.
