Aquamarine is a novel that tells us the story of two best friends, Hailey and Claire.
They have lived in the same neighborhood since they were toddlers.
They spend most of their time in the CapriBeach Club, which has a restaurant and a swimming pool. The Capri Beach club is always filled with many people willing to have lots of fun, but the weather had been so hot people started to abandon theCapri Club, even the lifeguards.
Claire will be moving to Florida with her grandparents, as long as the summer ended.
Claire’s parents died in a car accident many years ago, that’s why she livedwith her grandparents.
Hailey, lived with her mom, her parents were divorced since she was a little girl.
Someday, a storm happens. Later the same day, Claire and Hailey visited the Capri Beach Cluband saw all the things the storm had destroyed.
Claire dove into the water and suddenly he saw something extraordinary, something her eyes couldn’t believe.
She told Hailey about it.
The nextmorning, they brought herrings to the Capri Beach club, they spread them in the water, waiting for the mermaid to appear.
She never did, at least for a very long time.
When she finally appeared, thegirls were super excited to meet her, but she acted so rude they were bewildered by her attitude. After talking, Aquamarine told the she had been carried by the ocean and the storm to the pool.Aquamarine confessed them she had a crush on Raymond, the Capri Beach’s worker, who had been Hailey’s and Claire’s love the minute they met him.
They told Aquamarine she had to go back to the ocean becausethe pool will be drained, but she refused. She said she would go back after meeting Raymond, so the girls set up a date with Raymond, telling him Aquamarine was their cousin.

So they had to fix thedate so Aquamarine could go back to her home, the ocean. The girls told Claire’s grandpa about Aquamarine because Grandpa Maury was the one the person they know would believe them, they were right,...
