We were interesting to search information about autism and the learn about CARS Childhood Autism Rating Scale because this is the most widely used of all assessment tools, the school counselor and community counselor will be working in some point of our intervention with patient been diagnostic with Autism. Accorder with some studies we can find five cases between tenthousand individuals. Autism is a serious developmental brain disorder. This disorder is characterized by impaired social interaction and communication skills, and a limited range of activities and interests. Signs of the disorder appear typically in the first three years of life. There is no cure for autism, but if diagnosed and treated early, the patient can negate some of the effects that arecaused by this disorder (research.MassMutual.con/autism).

There are a set of common symptoms that acts as indicators for autism. In the area of social skills; poor eye contact, resistance to cuddling and holding, preferring to play alone, in the area language, the child cannot star or maintain a conversation and it is a late bloomer when it comes to talking An ability to converse becomesdiminished and the child affected by autism will be tend to repeat language verbatim without knowing its meaning and applies a tone or disturbance by changes in ritual and ritual devilment.

There is not cure for autism, but if the disease early, intensive therapies can help treat behavioral, social and language abilities. Some medications can help with issues, suchas anxiety and other severe behavioral problems. Childhood Autism Rating Scale is a behavior rating scale intended to help diagnosis autism.

Description of the Instrument

Child Autism Rating Scale was developed by Eric Schopler, Robert J. Reichier, and Barbara Rochen Renner. CARS was designed to help differentiate children with autism from those with other developmental delays,such as mental retardation.

CARS is considered the gold standard in the field( Matson et al., 1998; Morgan, 1988; sturmey& Servin,1994) Development of the CARS began in 1966 with the production of a scale that incorporated the criteria of Leo Kanner(1943) and Creak (1964) and characteristic symptoms of childhood autism. (Schopler. 1980)

CARS is a diagnostic assessment method that rateschildren on a scale from one to four for various criteria, ranging from normal to severe, and yields a composite score ranging from non-autistic, to mildly autistic, moderately autistic, or severely autistic.
