Verb to be – Simple Present
(Verbo to be – presente simple)
To be = ser o estar.
La forma completa y la contraída son igualmente correctas, aunque lacontraída es algo más informal.
Afirmativa (sujeto + verbo)

You are = TU ERES O TU ESTÁS you´re
He is =EL ES O EL ESTÁ he´s
She is = ELLA ES O ELLA ESTÁ She´s
It is = ELLO ES O ELLO ESTA (sólo para animales y cosas) It´s
We are = NOSOTROS SOMOS O NOSOTROS ESTAMOS we´re
Youare = USTEDES SON O USTEDES ESTAN you´re
They are = ELLOS O ELLAS SON O ELLOS O ELLAS ESTAN they´re
Negación (sujeto + verbo + not)

Iam not = YO NO SOY O YO NO ESTOY I´m not
You are not = TU NO ERES O TU NO ESTAS You aren´t
He is not = EL NO ES O EL NO ESTA He isn´t
She is not = ELLA NO ES O ELLA NO ESTAShe isn´t
