Billard
Billiards is a precision sport that is practiced driving with a cue ball a variable number (formerly ivory), in a slate-topped table covered with cloth, surrounded bybands of elasticmaterial with or without pockets.

Rules
The game is based on the collisions of the ball among themselves and with the bands. The play begins pushing one of the balls with the cue, which carries at itsfront end attached a leather sole, responsible for transmitting the movement to the ball. This sole is coated every few runs with a slip powder (chalk).

Instruments.

History
