Remove the heat shield bolts - 6 - and - 4 - on the back side of theback of the cylinder
head.
Loosen the bolts - 1 - and - 5 - .
Remove the upper air guide pipe, the turbocharger hose and the heat shield.
Bring camshaft gear to marking for TDC cylinder 1 byturning crankshaft. Marking on
camshaft gear must align with arrow on toothed belt guard.
Mark direction of rotation of toothed belt.
Remove toothed belt from camshaft Toothed Belt .
Then, turn thecrankshaft back slightly.
Release the tension on the pressure piston (while doing this, remove the securing pin
T40011 ) and remove the tensioning bolt T10092 .
Remove the ignition coils as follows:Engine Code APH
Disconnect the 4 pin connectors - arrow - from the ignition coils.
Remove the bolts and at a right angle, pull the ignition coils with output stages off the
spark plugs.
EngineCodes AWP, AWV, BKF and BNU
Loosen and remove cylinder head bolts in specified sequence.
Note:
Use polydrive bit and drive socket T10070 for the polydrive cylinder head bolts.
Carefully liftcylinder head off.
Remove ignition coils with power output stages from spark plugs using puller T40039 .
