Monogenismo
Antropología: doctrina según la cual todas las razas humanas desciendende un tipo primitivo y único.
La doctrina católica siempre ha sostenido que toda la raza humana se deriva de un solo ser humano, a quien las Sagradas Escrituras llama Adán.
Monogenismo o monogénesis puede designar a:
* La teoría antropológica, opuesta al poligenismo, que plantea el origen único de la actual especie humana. Se discutía la posibilidad del desarrollo de distintas formas de Homoerectus, una africana y otra asiática por lo menos, lo que daba la posibilidad de pensar que se habrían desarrollado cada una por su parte hasta convertirse en Homo sapiens sapiens las dos coexistiendo actualmente.
