Nowadays, organizations are mini-societies that have their own patterns of behaviour and shared meanings, attitudes, beliefs and values that are part of its organizational culture, so it has a decisive influence on the efficiency of the organization to meet its challenges and survive. Viewed in this way culture becomes a key element through which individuals understand work, the preferences theyhave, what they consider positive and negative values, the meaning they attach to what they do, why do it and what they do that for. Culture fulfills several functions within any organization. On of them is that it conveys a sense of cohesion for members. For that reason, it is important to understand what culture means and what organization is. Louis (1985) says “Culture is a set ofunderstanding or meaning shared by a group of people. The meanings are largely tacit among members, are clearly relevant to a particular group, and are distinctive to the group” (p.74).
