Something more !!!

So many people, before starting a conversation, say, “let’s not talk about politics or religion” they say, “let’s talk about something else.” I always have an issue with thisbecause these are the two topics that interest me the most, not only that but these are the two topics that I can have an in depth conversation about. Not only do I like these topics, but I have studiedthem to some extent. Religion is much more special because I can understand those who have tried to seek answers in a religion and like myself, found nothing. This leads to people getting upset anddevastated. I’ve heard many times, “I don’t believe in religion” and I agree with that statement because religion is a way that mankind has created as a means to try to get to God, but Jesus Christ isthe way that God created to get to mankind.

There are so many religions in the world that I cannot mention them all. Every day there is a new religion, which one of these is the truth or the bestone? My answer to this question is that no religion is the truth. Neither one of these religions is the best one. From Islam, who persecutes those who don’t confess to be Islamic and put them to deathin the name of their “God” and if a person publicly confesses to be either Jewish or Christian, he or she will be put to death with no mercy. Judaism, if a person doesn’t believe in Judaism and hasanother type of faith or teaching, that person is no longer considered a Jew, even if he or she was born in Israel. Even to Christianity, who persecuted and killed a lot of innocent people in the nameof God, such as in the Holocaust and in the Crusades. Truthfully religions have caused more harm to this world, not the good that it was thought to bring. Fighting and killing each other because theyall “have the truth” when Jesus said, “If someone slaps you, turn the other cheek”, “If your neighbor takes your coat offer him also your shirt”, “If someone makes you carry his burden one mile, then...
