The Collapse of our Society
In these days it’s difficult to maintain ahome with moral principles that help the public welfare and the emotional development of our children; when around us were being bombarded by the new generations with immoral affairs called open mind,they want us to believe that times have changed and that this new generations can change our principles and our way of thinking. Government and its laws are trying to adapt themselves to society whensociety are the ones who should adapt to government’s laws, that is the main point of the author Lisa Schiffren against gay marriage in her article “Gay Marriage, an Oxymoron” with which I totallyagree because I am against same-sex marriage.
As we can see in the news more and more states in the U.S. are legalizing same-sex marriages, the government explains to society that gay couples also havethe right to get married and create a family. Hawaii is an example of a state that have legalized gay marriage, as the author Schiffren explained in her article; “The Hawaii courts will likely rulethat gay marriage is legal, and other states will be required to accept those marriages as valid”(724). It’s a matter of time for the whole country, not just a few states, to accept such marriages andlet them adopt children, by doing this our government believes that the rights of gay people are being respected but the only thing the government is doing is damaging more the society than it alreadyis. Legalizing gay marriage means putting all the tools of the state education and media in the service of political homosexuality. If gay marriage is legal, it will be taught in schools. If wecontinue in this pattern we will be living in a society without moral principles and intended to contaminate the new generations by making them believe that homosexuality it’s just another option for them...
