36. Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? Attending a live performance (for example, a play, concert, or sporting event) is more enjoyable than watching the same event ontelevision. Use specific reasons and examples to support your opinion.

I don’t agree with the main idea of the statement, but depend on the live performance that you are watching it.Probably if you are in a theatre an you are watching a play, or an opera, the best place will be there than watching it on television. But if you are in a stadium and you are watching afootball or tennis match, and the weather is cold and rainy, the best place would be at home. Close your eyes, and imagine you are lying with your girlfriend on your own sofa, in front of thefireplace, with a soft blanket, eating a hamburger, hot dog or pop corn, watching the match on television, relax, without nobody shouting or bothering you. Wouldn’t be better?
Of coursethat when you are watching a live performance, you can feel the whole atmosphere, sound, smell, that it is impossible to notice at home.
On the other hand, the former is more expensivethan when you are at home, even if it is an important event, probably you will have to queue for along time in the street o somewhere else to buy the tickets, and the day of the event, youwill have to stay two or three hours before start it. In some other occasion, there is no colour and it is totally different stay, for example, in a live concert of U2, than watching a liveconcert of U2 on television, even though you have the best home cinema and 3D television of Bang of Olufsen.
I recognise that I am a little bit lazy for that kind of things, and I wouldlike stay confortable in any place, without a lot of people shouting and pushing me. But I’ll respect of all those people that prefer the live performance, and some times I prefer too.
