Early Hominids

Introduction
The early hominids where our ancestors.
-How do you think they survived?
-How do they had fun?
-What they used?
well this information will be found during our journey to early times with some help of paleontologist, and scientist. so get start because the journey had all ready began!!Australopithecus Afarensis
Scientist give different kinds latin names to hominids to so that they dont confuse and also the word show some of the characteristics the hominid had. An African Anthropologist discover the earliest culture of hominds which they name Austrapolithecus Afarensis or " southern ape". Donald Johanson decided that Lucy, which was one skeleton found in Africa ,belonged to this group. They were kind of similar to modern humans 'cause they were biped and also had the same kind of hands and feet as us. They had different qualities because there arms were longer but, they were only 3 feet tall, also they had a large head which her forehead and jaw stuck out. Antropologists discover this similarities by assembling all bones together and that gave them someclues why were Lucy and her relatives different than us.

Lucy and Her Relatives
The same kinds of skeletons as Lucy's have been found in the same areas of Africa, and they think by looking at the skeleton or remains shows that they lived about 3-4 million years ago. Amazingly scientist discovered that lucy and her relatives had free arms that let them carry any kinds of thingslike babies food or weapons. Looking at Lucy's body they realized that her brain was 1/3 of ours! This period of hominids made their own weapons, but scientist think that they weren't able to talk.

Homo Habilis
Another group of hominids was discovered by the Leakey team composed by Louis and Mary ,and it was kind of a surprise because they were looking for some evidence from otherhominids when they found the bones with some tools beside them. Both name them Homo Habilis or "Handy Man" to honor their creations for making tools and artifacts. homo habilis lived from 1.5-2 million years ago, which were after Lucy and her relatives. Also as Lucy they were biped and still had some ape features , but was taller than her. Their brain was twice as Lucy's. Scientist found this bonesright on Africa and many bones together, that gave them clues that they all lived in groups. This made them help each other from animals and to gathered more food over larger areas.

The Toolmakers
The clues found by Louis and Mary showed a lot of clues for examples they sharpen objects to cut animal and there fur or used them as food. because of their advace knoledge they couldmake this type of things, which were almost like us. also they used bones to dig, and they chop their creations to make tools. As we thought to make this tools were easy, but it needs some time and thinking to create them. They first planned what to do and then start creating there objects. And last to pass there experience and knowledge to let others make the same kind of tool. Using their toolsmade their life easier and longer to survive by capturing their pray.

Homo Erectus
This is another kind of specie of hominids found in 1891 by: the famous eugene dubois. they found the skeletons on the island of Java, when the team of expert assemble the bones they found out that this hominids stood up straight, they called them Homo Erectus or "Upright man". this type of hominidslived 1.8-200,000 B.C.E Scientist belived that they were the first tribe to migrate. This hominids were trvelers because scientists found bones not only in Asia, but also in Europe. And by the bones they realize they were taller than Handy Man and also thinner, and reach about our height. There strong bones tell they could resist many things and made them run fast. Their face was less ape...
