At the end of World War II, Stalin was regarded as a hero to England. Englishmen thought of him as a good man, due to his help in the war. Few men had the courage of breaking the short-sight whichwas used to see Stalin, and began to see the truth: Stalin was a cruel leader that placed his own interests over the nations. One of these men was George Orwell, who criticized his regime in hispolitical satire Animal Farm. In it, Orwell caricaturizes Stalin's government, showing him as a main antagonist to Snowball, the white and pure pig who held the nation's ideals above all. Unfortunately,Snowball is exiled and isn't able to establish a government of his own. This essay will hypothesize about the farm's fate if Snowball had established his own government, analyzing this through his ideals,his character depictions, and his overall portrait. 
As said before, Snowball had a set of ideals he proposed to his comrades to be incorporated to the farm's government. These are a glimpse of thebeginning of what could have been Snowball's regime. For his proposals, Snowball designed animal committees that would focus on special tasks to ensure that each task was performed efficiently. Forexample, the hens had the Egg Production Committee that would check on the production of eggs, the sheep had the Whiter Wool Movement, etc. Besides these committees, Snowball had an interest in theliteracy of his fellow animals. With this, Snowball wanted to make everyone a part of Animal Farm, to incorporate them into the decisions of their nation's fate. He also wanted all animals to understandthe philosophy behind Animal Farm, at first writing the Seven Commandments, and later simplifying them for the less literate animals as "Four legs good, two legs bad." Snowball's last project was thewindmill, "[A device that] would light the stalls and warm them in winter, and would also run a circular saw, a chaff-cutter, a mangle-slicer, and an electric milking machine" ().
