Executive Summary
Background
Sample Customer recently engaged Avnet OneTech to conduct a VMware Infrastructure (VI) Health Check. This service included a workshop to review best practices pertaining to configuration, operations, and usage of virtualinfrastructure using ESX and vCenter, and give Sample Customer staff a chance to ask questions, validate assumptions, and leverage the expertise of a VMware Certified Professional (VCP). The engagement also included an assessment of Sample Customer’s current VMware Infrastructure configuration, operations, and usage, and a detailed audit of the VMware Infrastructure. Avnet OneTech is pleased topresent this report which documents the observations and findings of the VI Health Check. This report is intended to: • • • • Document the inventory of systems analyzed Help gauge how well the virtual infrastructure is configured and being used relative to VMware best practices, and identify areas needing attention and/or remediation Provide detailed recommended changes to configuration and usage perVMware best practices that may improve utilization and operations Serve as a reference to review best practices and issues discussed during the onsite visit
